We’ve designed Wildpaws for families with primary-aged children. Whilst we all know technology excites any child, we are keen to ensure the app enhances your walk. Our vision is that kids will grab their parents phone to lead the family on our GPS-based adventures.
We are passionate about creating affordable, low-cost fun for families. Our concept will see families able to enjoy a free version of Wildpaws with a premium option offering an enhanced experience at a small monthly fee (£2.99).
We’re working with a range of local and nationally recognised brands to bring exclusive rewards to families enjoying our Wildpaws adventures. This could range from a discount with a retailer to a free hot drink at a local cafe through which an activity passes. The more Wildpaws explorer points you earn, the more you will be rewarded!
You have probably heard of geocaching where you use an app to locate treasure via GPS. Wildpaws works in a similar way. We have a range of story-based adventures to take part in. The scene will be set and you’ll be told to go to your first checkpoint, which you will use your map to find. Once at the location, we’ll check you are there, set you a challenge and if successful you’ll be shown the next location. Your mission is to reach all the points and help be the hero in your adventure! You’ll earn explorer points for completing Wildpaws activities!
Yes, the Wildpaws app is available on iOS and Android mobile devices. You’ll need to have a data connection and the app uses your GPS location when embarking on one of our adventures.
We envisage parents having the Wildpaws app on their phones and owning the account. We don’t take many personal details and will never share your data without your permission.
We’ve assumed that parents will download and set up Wildpaws on their phones. When taking part in Wildpaws adventures or challenges, parents will often hand the phone to their children to lead them on the expedition. The app will always be super simple to use, whatever your age or technical ability.
